How do I add my Banterra Visa Debit or Credit Card easy shopping?

Open the Wallet app

Tap the plus sign in the upper right corner or “Add Credit or Debit Card.”
Use your camera to snap a photo of your card or enter the card information manually.
If you're asked to add the card that you use with iTunes, just enter its security code.
Tap Next to continue, and answer additional security questions (if required).

Note: After you add a card, you might see a small temporary charge on your account. It won’t affect your balance and will disappear soon after. If you have set up alerts, you will see the test. This is done to ensure the card is open and activated.

How do I pay using Apple Pay?

To use your default card, rest your finger on Touch ID and hold your iPhone within an inch of the contactless reader until you see done and a checkmark on the display.

To switch cards on your iPhone, hold your device near the reader without resting your finger on Touch ID.
When your default card appears, tap it, then tap the one that you want to use.
Rest your finger on Touch ID to pay.
If you need to choose Credit or Debit on the terminal, choose Credit.
If you need to provide the last four digits of your card, use the Device Account Number (DAN).
To find the DAN, open Wallet and tap your card, then tap to see the Device Account Number.
You might need to sign a receipt or enter your PIN.

Is Apple Pay secure?

Yes; Instead of transmitting a credit card number to an NFC terminal or an app, Apple Pay transmits a Device Account Number (DAN) and a temporary token that verifies the transaction. The retailer never receives the card number, and the verification token can theoretically be used only once. Your phone never stores a credit card number, instead storing the DAN issued by the bank or credit card provider once it approves the card for Apple Pay use.

Does Banterra protect my virtual cards?

Customers will not be liable for any unauthorized transactions using your lost, stolen or compromised card unless you have been negligent or have engaged in fraud. All merchants and processors who handle card data and personal information have a responsibility to protect a customer's data.

What if my device is lost or stolen?

With Apple Pay, you authorize each purchase with Touch ID or your passcode. These features help prevent other people from using Apple Pay on your iPhone.

You can go to icloud.com/find or use the Find My iPhone app to suspend or permanently remove the ability to pay from that device with Apple Pay.
Your cards will be suspended or removed from Apple Pay even if your device is offline (not connected to a cell or Wi-Fi network).
You can also turn your Banterra Visa® Debit Card on or off with the touch of a button through Banterra’s Digital Banking (online or mobile).

What if I have a problem activating my Banterra Visa Debit or Credit Card?

If you are not automatically activated, please contact Banterra’s Card Services Department at 866-BANTERRA (226-8377), option 3, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST. After Card Services verifies your accounts, they will be able to assist in completing your activation.

Reasons your card may not be automatically activated:

There are no recent transactions on your card.
Your card is new and has not been used yet.

Use the camera to capture your card info or enter it yourself.
If you asked to verify your card, choose a verification method from the list.
Find and enter the verification code.

What devices is Google Pay available on?

Google Pay is compatible with the majority of modern Android devices across a wide variety of manufacturers and form factors, including mobile phones, tablets, and Wear OS by Google devices.

How do I pay using Google Pay?

At checkout, wake up your phone and hold it to the terminal.

Your phone will beep or vibrate, and you will receive a confirmation on screen.
To complete the transaction, you may need to sign a receipt or enter your PIN as usual

Is Google Pay secure?

When you use your phone to pay in stores, Google Pay doesn’t send your actual credit or debit card number with your payment. Instead, they use a virtual account number to represent your account information so your card details stay safe and secure.

How do I add my Banterra Visa Debit or Credit Card for easy shopping?

Add your card(s) to Samsung Pay by opening the app on your eligible device and logging in to your Samsung account. If you do not have an account, you can create one now.

You will be asked to set up a verification method for Samsung Pay and create a four-digit Samsung Pay PIN.
Tap the "+" if you are on the main Samsung Pay screen or tap the "Add Card" button
Take a photo of your card or manually input your card information
Choose a verification method and follow instructions.

What devices is Samsung Pay available on?

Samsung Pay is compatible with Galaxy Note9, Galaxy S9+, Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S8, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S6 edge+, Note 5, Galaxy A8+, Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017), A5 (2016), A7 (2016), Galaxy A9 Pro and Galaxy J7 Pro.

How do I pay using Samsung Pay?

From the lock screen, swipe up from the small Samsung Pay bar just above the home button to access your stored card(s) and swipe to the desired card.

To verify your identity, place your finger on the home button.
To use your Samsung Pay PIN, touch PIN. Then, enter your four-digit PIN.
To make the payment, place the back of your device on the payment terminal.
If necessary, complete the transaction on the payment terminal.
Once the payment is made you will get an Android notification that confirms the merchant name and the amount of your purchase. This information is also documented in the Samsung Pay app.

Is Samsung Pay secure?

Samsung Pay does not store the account or credit card numbers of cards on the device, instead using tokenization for transactions. Each time a purchase is made, the Samsung Pay handset sends two pieces of data to the payment terminal. The first is a 16-digit token that represents the credit or debit card number, while the second piece is a one-time code or cryptogram that's generated by the phone's encryption key.

What if my device is lost or stolen?

Payments can't be made from your phone without being authorized via fingerprint or the PIN chosen during the setup process. If you register with Samsung's Find My Mobile service you can remotely erase information on the phone, including any cards stored in Samsung Pay.

*Mastercard and Visa will process transactions similar to how they process your physical card transactions today except most merchants won't have access to your actual card number they will receive the unique virtual card number associated with your credit or debit card. Mastercard must provide your actual card number to certain transit merchants (e.g. subway systems) in order to process real-time decisions. Your Banterra Visa Debit Card and Banterra Visa Credit Card are eligible cards for Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Other debit and credit cards may also be eligible. Visa and Visa signature are registered trademarks of Visa International Service Association, and are used by the issuer pursuant to license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.
