Tips For Managing Your Banterra Cards

Banterra offers Visa® debit and credit cards for both personal and business needs. You can choose from a variety of cards, each with unique features ranging from reward points, introductory rates and more.

Lost or Stolen Debit Card

If you believe your debit card has been lost or stolen, notify us immediately.

To keep possible losses down, please call us as soon as possible. You may contact us toll free at the following:

Travel Notices

To help prevent interrupted service with your Banterra Bank Visa® Debit Card or Digital Banking services, please notify us at least one day prior to your departure. Notifying Banterra will ensure your Visa® Debit Card purchases or Digital Banking access is not blocked by our fraud monitoring systems. Without notification of your travel we may block usage of your Visa® Debit Card or Digital Banking services when transactions or logins outside your normal spending or login habits are identified.

Important Notice

From time to time, we may block transactions from a specific city(s), state, region or country due to fraudulent activities. Transactions will be restricted if your Banterra Visa® Debit Card is used within the blocked areas.

To Notify Us Of Your Travel Plans, Please Do One Of The Following:
  • Call Banterra’s customer support at 866-BANTERRA (226-8377), option 2. We are available to take your call weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm CST.
  • Click here to send us a secure email. Be sure to include the following in your email to us.
    • Your Name(s)
    • Banterra Visa® Debit Card Number(s)
    • Departure and Return Dates
    • Destination and/or Places(s) of Travel (City, State, Country)
    • Phone Number (In case we need to contact you during your travel)
    • To better protect our customers, travel notifications may be validated by a call back to the number you have on file at the bank. If unable to validate, transactions made with your debit card during your travel may be denied.
