What Was The Inspiration Or Motivation In Starting Your Business?

I opened a concierge specialty clinic because I wanted to bring change to the healthcare industry in the Valley. I realized the bureaucracy of insurance was interfering with my ability to best care for my patients. Once I left the traditional healthcare model, I was able to practice in a way that better served my patients.

Did You Always Dream Of Becoming An Entrepreneur?

I had no idea what I wanted to do growing up. As a young girl, I was never encouraged to start my own business. It was not something that was often presented as a possibility for women. It was not until later in life that I realized I had the potential to create my own path. In addition to my role as a physician, I am also a Girl Scout leader. Creating your own path is something I talk to our troops about, and it is part of the foundation Girl Scouts was built on.

How Has Your Business Grown Over The Years? 

I started my career working as an employed physician and only branched out to open my own practice in 2024. It is a unique type of business model for specialty physicians, but I have been able to borrow from other concierge primary care models. My goal is to make healthcare easier to navigate without surprise bills.

What Have You Done To Achieve Such Growth?

My practice has seen a natural, ongoing growth as many of my new patients are friends or family members of existing patients or referred specifically to me by their doctor. That speaks to the excellent care I provide and should be the foundation of any successful practice. I am also working with a digital marketer to reach new patients.

What Is One Piece Of Advice You Would Give To Aspiring Entrepreneurs?

To believe in yourself and surround yourself with people who believe in you.

How Does Your Community Play A Role In Your Success?

First and foremost, the trust and relationships I build with patients are the foundation of my practice. The community’s support, through their loyalty and word-of-mouth referrals, is vital in sustaining and growing my patient base.

Additionally, being actively involved in the community helps me better understand the overall health needs, allowing me to provide care that is more aligned with the community’s concerns. Not only that but collaboration with other healthcare providers and local organizations enables me to create a more integrated care network.

Ultimately, my success as a physician is not only defined by my medical expertise but by the sense of shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of the community I serve.
