Who Is Phil Moore?
I grew up in Cape Girardeau and graduated from Cape Central High. After, I attended Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO). I married the love of my life, Suzan, who was a local girl from Scott City, and we have been married 28 years. We have two boys Zach (22) and Connor (19) who are both attending SEMO.
I am very fortunate to be surrounded with such an outstanding and experienced team in the SEMO market. They make every day great, and we take a lot of pride in serving our clients and helping them achieve their financial dreams. I am also active in our community and feel that giving back through civic involvement is very important. I currently serve on the SEMO RedHawks Club Board, Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Board, and I am also a member of the Cape Noon Optimist Club where I once served as President. I am a past Board of Governor (two terms) at the Cape Country Club, past Board Member of the Friends Board at Saint Francis, and have served as a Cape School Board Member for six years. I feel that civic responsibility is key and giving back to this community that has given me so much is the least I can do.
What Is Something About Yourself That Would Surprise Us?
I play and compete in VR Golf (Meta Quest) against competition across the United States and around the globe multiple times a week for fun.
What Is Your Top Three Life Highlights?
My family is my everything, so the top three moments in my life were marrying my wife, and the births of both of my sons.
What Did You Want To Be When Growing Up?
I thought I wanted to be a doctor, until I learned how much school and training it took before you start earning a living.
What Music Do You Enjoy?
I enjoy classic rock, specifically from the 70s and 80s.
